Technical Sales Chimp

Job Description:

The Technical Sales Chimp will be responsible for creating quotes for large projects and controls systems. The ideal candidate has a strong technical knowledge of both data and power in the live event industry. Experience with architectural controls is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complete systems for quoting including equipment, parts, consumables, and labor

  • Write scopes of work to convey system expectations

  • Respond to bid requests

  • Working with the team to create technical drawings / documentation for installation

  • Work with the warehouse and project manager to coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory items needed for each sale

  • Successful hand-off to installation team

  • Pre-programming may be required for some projects

  • Research new products to remain current on technology solutions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of industry control protocols & industry best practices

  • Fluency in signal flow for control systems

  • Network design and configuration knowledge

  • Experience quoting systems for installation

  • Architectural controls knowledge / experience

  • Self-motivated

  • Resourceful

  • Ability to solve unusual or unexpected technical and installation problems

  • Ability to work with both internal and external partners to make sure the project goes smoothly from start to finish

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to do local site visits

The store is open weekdays 9-6, this position will be working 8 hours per day (9-5 or 10-6), 40 hours per week, except for holiday closures.

Benefits:

  • This is a full-time salary position, $70k-100k
